ROY BRUCE ROBINS

meet roy. his name basically makes him a walking muggle comic book reference. he's kind of full of himself but only because he knows he isn't special or amazing so pretending to be just seems the best option for him. he never really played well with others and considers himself of the lone wolf sort. he is currently an artist and i'd say isn't the best off in terms of money. he has a small place that he is cooped up in and the walls are probably covered in his work. friends: i feel like it is hard to make friends due to the cold front he has but it would be fun to see someone break through it. he is kind of snarky and snobbish so it's hard to be friendly with him but i think people should definitely try. i have a feeling that if he does make friends with someone he would get really attached or he will be like protective over them because it's so rare. enemies: this is easy. he's not the most likeable person and likes to start arguments for the sake of it. i also have this headcanon sort of that for a while he was kind of a bully back in hogwarts so he could run into someoen he bullied idk?? lovers: he's never been in any sort of romantic relationship so he would be super awkward at it whether it was long term or just a hook up. i think he is also quite open sexuality wise. most people are put off by his rudeness and kind of disconnected manner.

-excessive jokes about muggle comics here with ridiculous nicknames- Ashton's the sunshine to Roy's cloudy day. (I honestly can't believe I typed that 2am brain ftw) They probably met in some really awkward situation, because Ashton hasn't had the most positive time when encountering Slytherins and while Roy was not the most pleasant of individuals he wasn't the worst either. Which kind of intrigued Ashton, enough to keep toeing the line of - I wonder how much I can poke the bear before bear explodes. That and he was probably encouraging when he learned that Roy was a artist, because that's the kind of guy Ashton is, he tries to help people, and while Roy didn't have his finger blown off by a spell, Ashton still tried, actively.

While Ashton is sometimes a bit - too positive, they likely found a common ground when Roy didn't yell at Ashton for being a mudblood, and Ashton just kind of kept seeing how this would end up in their friendship, which is now - rock solid, or as solid as one can be with a nagging positive influence always on your case. Who you have a nice rapier and banter with.

i'm so in love with the idea of these two already. davin will be like oh great he'll understand what a joke my name is and won't stop oh lovely. ashy omg that's the cutest thing yes yes yes.

i can definitely see that. roy probably needs someone to kick him discreetly once every so often and tell him to put a smile on his face. also anyone who appreciates art is someone roy would keep track of.

i think from previous rocky begins, their relationship now would be as steady as a rock after a lot of cautious treading. roy doesn't have a problem with muggleborns because of his own background. i think they could be really good for each other. knowing what to say to the other and stuff. just this sort of unspoken understanding between the two and ahhh.

as a muggle born it's kind of like customary that ashton make fun of his heroically named friend. Kick him underneath the table whenever he's being overly mean spirited to someone. Because Ashton wants people to know Roy is fab. They had years together, so they have to be pretty good at the concept that is silent communications. Besides everyone needs that one best friend that just knows what you're saying before it even happens.

Sylvia would know Roy through her older brother Ashton, and I think they might butt heads a bit (her and Roy, that is.) Nothing major, just sort of the "kinda kidding, kinda not" type of arguments (Sylvia probably likes to argue just as much as Roy does.) Plus she'd make a lot of jokes about Roy being her "brother in law." Deep down though I think she'd really admire his creativity, and she wouldn't mind popping in on a few of their man dates every once in a while.

yes i can see that ahaha!! like whenever they see each other they can't help but get into arguments about something even if it's something small. roy would probably playfully tease her all the time and like hide behind ashton if she ever happened to get mad. but yeah i can see them having some fun banter with some back and forth retorting. all in all, anyone who is related to ashton is in roy's good books tbh so he would like her but not say that out loud ever.

so ashton is their common ground, but i'm not sure they'd get along super well. that's fine, because i'm sure they don't all like - chill together. lena is convinced that he and ashton are sleeping together, because she thinks that ashton is gay, so that's sort of awkward. i don't think she shares very well, so she wouldn't be super thrilled that roy exists, but she understands that ashton needs people in her life that aren't just her, so she's probably not like - outright bitter about it. she thinks he's a cutie and likes that he makes fun of Sylvia so often.

can they be in love please. omg so willow and roy are sort of the same person with one exception - willow is pretty much good at everything and pretends not to be, while he's not good at lots and pretends to be good at everything. but they're both grumpy gills. he's lots older than her it's okay, because she likes older men, so they wouldn't have met through school, but he's a cutie. and she needs someone to be grumpy with. also - sex.

omg i love that she thinks they are sleeping together. yeah roy can get like over protective over people and he'd just be very standoffish with marlene and i'd imagine if they were in the same room they would try and stick to the opposite walls of one another. they could be really snarky with each other but then again they might just not even bother with each other?? it could be a lot of eye rolling at one another and "ughs" and just glaring from afar. poor ashton cuaght in the middle. ((also i'm just gonna go and watch zombieland now bc emma and jesse))

okay so i really love this idea and i just really want to see how roy would handle actually liking someone and being attracted to someone. he generally doesn't do well in that area but hey. they could like bump into each other at the leaky cauldron or something and we could go from there. roy is so horrible at flirting though just warning you. i love the idea that she like flusters him and stuff. and like they could try and outdo one another in a game of "who is better" and just all the banter and flirting tbh. let's do iiiit.
