Sylvia's memories of Hogwarts remain some of her most cherished to this day. She learned a lot about herself: her deepest fears, her strengths and weaknesses, her true self (among other things: her boggart is the dead body of her brother and her patronus is a mare.) She was placed in Gryffindor, just like her brother. The two were close and always had been, and Hogwarts only strengthened that bond. But Sylvia had always had a bit of a rebellious streak, and there was no way that it couldn't have put a strain on Ashton. She doesn't apologize for it; she was born that way. Despite her friendly demeanor and good marks in classes, Sylvia had a definite penchant for trouble. One too many sassy remarks would end in duels with other students, not to mention countless detentions. Even so she didn't take anything too seriously, and her carefree attitude garnered many more friends than enemies. Suitors, too, flocked to her - but she could not be tethered by love. She brushed oh so many boys away, probably breaking hearts without even knowing it.
She retains a similar devil-may-care disposition to this day, and it gives her a youthful sparkle that few possess in these dark times. Being around Sylvia makes you want to do something wild and crazy; her spirit is contagious. Sprinting through a grassy meadow just to feel the wind in your hair; night swimming with no clothes on beneath the light of the moon; losing yourself in a forest to find your way out; all of these and more are ideas of a good time to Sylvia. Marriage has not killed that, and has in fact encouraged it. She loves to brag about her husband, and next to Ashton, he is her best friend and partner in crime.
You wouldn't guess that Sylvia is twenty two - she still acts like she's seventeen. She can certainly put a smile on your face, but she will wear you out. Dauntless, unabashed, and feisty as ever, the girl is an absolute whirlwind. Growing up is not something she is particularly interested in doing. She keeps her job in the Muggle Relations department because she's good at it and it puts bread on the table, but she craves something much more adventurous and adrenaline-inducing. She doesn't know what - she never knows what. All Sylvia knows is her passion, her emotions, her desires, and she acts on these. She's got a brain too, and a great one at that, but some would say that she doesn't always use it.
So when word got around that there was an uprising of Pureblood supremists, Sylvia knew immediately where she stood. She was a Muggleborn, but it didn't define her. In fact, that was probably the last thing people thought about her, there were so many other facets to her. The idea of blood supremacy struck her as ridiculous and medieval, completely out of place in the modern Wizarding world. She agrees with everything the Order stands for, and has even expressed her desire to join. But the people closest to her advise against it - trouble finds Sylvia much too easily, trouble that would most certainly turn to danger. She knows it too, but doesn't care. She has had a watchful eye on her all her life, someone protecting her, and in her private thoughts for once she would just like to know what it feels like to be totally free.

Sylvia lived her first ten years of life as a relatively normal tomboy Muggle child - Legos and dinosaur toys strewn about her room, her chubby cherub cheeks perpetually streaked with mud. Her older brother Ashton's magical abilities seemed to activate her own, although the waiting game was torture. Once their parents came to accept the fact that their son wasn't simply possessed of an overactive imagination they were really quite supportive, and young Sylvia grew worried that she would never live up to him. She didn't want to dislike her beloved older brother, but the jealousy ate away at her young heart. Indeed there were a painful few months where Sylvia was certain that there was nothing special about her at all, and her brother would go on to his magical school and forget all about her. But her abilities revealed themselves soon enough, and she couldn't have been happier.Sylvia's memories of Hogwarts remain some of her most cherished to this day.
