DEATH EATER

Those in the “Death Eater” member group are only those privileged few in the inner circle. These men (and very seldom women) are those who bear the dark mark. They are given direct orders from the Dark Lord himself, though not everything they do is a directive from him. These people are fanatical, blood purists who carry out attacks on their own accord, organizing themselves – and occasionally supporters as well.

DEATH EATER SUPPORTER

A larger, more encompassing group – this member group would include those characters who aren’t quite good enough to be part of the inner circle, but still fully support and occasionally act upon the Dark Lord’s orders. It also includes, more largely, most characters that support the cause from afar. Comprised mostly of other purists, their families, and significant others – it’s basically anyone who thinks that Voldemort has the right idea about the way things need to be in the world. 

ORDER OF THE PHOENIX

Again, members of this group are the inner circle. These are the men and women handpicked by Dumbledore to contribute to the cause. They are largely organized by him and take orders through their hierarchy. They are not nearly as fanatical and are often doing more recon than anything. Tracking known Death Eaters and their whereabouts, cleaning up messes that the Ministry cannot, and spreading the word about good ways to keep safe.

ORDER SUPPORTER

While the Order is, for all intents and purposes a secret sort of society, there are people who have rallied to their cause. This member group includes people who oppose blood supremacy, support muggleborn rights, or would be considered blood traitors. They have taken a stance in this war, they have just not concretely committed themselves.

NEUTRAL

Characters won’t all care that there’s a war on. Those people who are staunchly ignoring the fact that there’s bad things going on, are on the fence about which side they consider “right”, or are just too busy for all that war mumbo-jumbo will be in this group. They aren’t active in any war effort.
