Lily is basically a little ball or rainbows and sunshine unless you’re a Death Eater or you’ve insulted herself, her friends or her family. Or you know, done something else to spark up that crazy temper of hers. Okay, so she’s not always a ball of rainbows and sunshine but she is when she’s happy, alright? She’s endlessly loyal and crazy smart. She’s witty, stubborn, sarcastic and she can be a bit on the blunt side, mostly because sometimes she forgets what having a filter is. One of the things she hates most is prejudice, which is probably why she’s in the Order – well that and because the Death Eaters are killing people and she doesn’t think that’s very nice. She’ll pretty much stand up for anyone that’s being mistreated whether she knows them or not. It’s just kind of her thing. She may or may not have some sort of hero complex.

the friends most people will probably fit here. Lily pretty much tries to befriend anyone and anything she meets, provided they’re not trying to kill her. She’s incredibly protective of her friends, she just sort of takes on a motherly type role sometimes even if they’re older than her. Once Lily befriends you, you’ve got a friend for life who would more likely than not take a killing curse for you because she just cares a lot. Y’know, until she dies in a few years.

the lovers well this is pretty much covered because James.<3

the enemies will probably mostly just be Death Eaters and their supporters, blood purists, ect. I can’t really picture Lily seeing someone who doesn’t fit that description as a true enemy, even if she doesn’t particularly like that person. But if you have any other ideas (like maybe not outright enemies but personal problems within the Order members?), I’m totally open! <3

I think it would be interesting to have these two run into each other. Severus both hates and still loves Lily, and while he would love to place some of the blame of their friendship dying on James but he knows it is his own fault. Add to that the fact that they are on differing sides of the war and the side Snape is fighting for wants to destroy muggleborns and it could be a rather interesting encounter.

I feel like these two would have been good friends even before she and James went out. They're both bookish and brilliant, I just feel as if they would have gotten along well. There's a part in the movie where Remus tells Harry that Lily was there for him in a time when no one else was. I was thinking maybe we could do something with that? I have a few ideas for it~

Lily definitely still cares about Severus.  It breaks her heart that he got caught up with some bad people cause she knows he's a good person, really.  I doubt she'd ever admit that to him, though.  Also I think that when they were in school, Lily probably knew that Sev liked her as more than a friend, but I don't think she ever could have guessed exactly how much he cared for her so she has no idea that he's still in love with her.  So anyway, I do think an awkward run-in would be lots of fun.  I think it would be really interesting if we had an awkward run-in thread with James, too, once we have one, cause then it would just be James and Sev yelling at each other and Lily would be like "GUYS STOP."  Also, if you're up for a past thread from when they were still friends, I think that could be a lot of fun too!  It would develop their relationship a bit more.

Yes! <3 I've always thought Lily and Remus would have been really good friends at Hogwarts even when she really wasn't fond of the rest of the mauraders.  She probably would have gotten really frustrated with him for not standing up to James and Sirius when they were being awful bullies, though.  But now I could see them being a lot closer and I would LOVE to do something for that. <3 What did you have in mind?

Eep that's exactly what I had in mind <3! As for the other thing: Remus' mother was attacked the same night he was bitten and she was put into a magical coma to keep her alive. I was thinking maybe he could get a letter saying that she was dying or something. Maybe they could be having a little meeting between friends just to catch up and then he gets the news? There's that or maybe she could find him in a random alley in either muggle or wizarding London the night after the full moon. He'd be all beat up and bloody. I was thinking maybe he got in a fight with some other werewolves and they dropped him there the morning after.

I think these two would get along nicely. They're both in the Order, and Alice is an Auror, Lily's an Auror-in-training, they'll both eventually mother sons who could potentially have been the chosen one... Even though Alice isn't way way older than Lily, maybe she's something of a mentor for Lily in the Auror department? I doubt that there are a plethora of women in the Auror's department, so it might be nice for these two to be able to girl talk in the bathroom if need be and stuff. Plus, they both seem to have similar personalities in that they're very friendly until they're made mad or anything. I think they'd get along nicely?

I agree with everything you just said.  Also, I would like to say that I absolutely LOVE Carey Mulligan for Alice, you are a genius.  Anyways, Lily would love for Alice to be her mentor in the Auror department, I could definitely see Lily looking up to Alice since she has the job she wants and is older than her and stuff.  Plus you're right, they are extremely similar... kind of creepily so, actually.  I've always sort of thought of Alice and Frank as "the other Lily and James" so... I think I'm starting to ramble now, but anyway I'd love to see these two get really close over time.  They probably aren't yet since Lily just graduated and joined the Order six months ago and I doubt they knew each other before that because of the age difference.  But I totally picture them bonding over pregnancy horrors in two years since they'll be pregnant at the same time. <3

Thank you! And first and foremost: hells yes to pregnancy bonding in two years when they're both pregnant. Alice will supply all the sweet and sugary things for their cravings.
I agree that they probably aren't close yet because of the age difference, but I think that with Alice mentoring Lily they'll become closer, and it might be nice to have that evolution of friendship. They can go on double dates with their significant others at one of their houses and talk Order/Auror stuff the whole time. (I could definitely see them doing that; these two pairs are awesome. Can you imagine if Alice and Lily had been able to be mums for longer? Ugh it hurts, Harry and Neville probably would've grown up together and it would have been adorable.) I digress. Basically yes, everything you said.

I loooovee the double date idea.  Yes.  Please, can we have that thread once James gets accepted and we get a Frank?  Hopefully that won't take too long because I'm too excited to wait.  Seriously, I want to cry because I wish that Lily and Alice had been mums longer and had become best friends and Harry and Neville ran around being best friends together.  Anyway, there's one more thing I forgot!  I dunno if you've talked to Riff yet, but basically Marlene hates any female who's in a happy committed relationship so that's another thing for Lily and Alice to talk about and bond over because I'm sure they'll both be a bit confused about why Marley seems very rude with them, though Lily really isn't much of a gossip so I don't think those discussions will go tooo far.  But still, there's that for them to have in common as well, heehee. <3

Yes, definitely! As soon as we get a Frank, double dates spent discussing Order business will have to happen. (I knowww it's so sad! Perhaps we shall have to take advantage of the AU section....)

Okay so I had a new idea! James has been on the fence about finding a job, because he doesn't want to put Lily in danger. I have a feeling she's not going to like that very much because 1. She can take care of herself, and 2. It may partly be a BS excuse so he can sit around with Padfoot and not work. And I think the discussion between them about whether he should get a job would make a great first thread between these two. Thoughts?
